POETIC ROAD TRIP THROUGH GUINEA
As a former French colony endowed with a wealth of resources, particularly mining and water resources, Guinea faces many challenges. Between repeated coups d'états and socio-political crises, as well as economic and health shocks, this West African country does not necessarily appear to be a popular tourist destination. But beyond this harsh reality, for one who is willing to explore the country, to spend a couple of weeks or even of years traveling across the multifaceted four natural regions, Guinea remains a continuous source of inspiration and delight. This series aims at disclosing the poetry emanating from hidden fragments of everyday life across Guinea, on a road trip that takes us from from the capital Conakry to the provinces of Fouta Djalon, the ancient Fulani kingdom, through the Forest Guinea, Lower Guinea and its Baga traditions to Upper Guinea marked by Manding culture.
