In order to become a young man, seven-year-old
Santiago decides to walk the route of the Camino with his
mother, Céline. An adventure off the beaten track,
retold with liveliness, lightness and depth, 1200
kilometers of emotion and bursts of laughter.
Céline has always told her son Santiago that he is a
young warrior, directly descended from the Quechuas
people, and that one day he must choose a rite of initiation to become a young man.
At seven years old, Santiago declared « Mom, I want to go on the road,
the Camino, and I promise you that even if my feet hurt, I will keep going
until the end.
Thus, on the 22 June, 2014, they began their journey of 1200 km on the route of
the Camino. The son will learn that his mother doesn?t know
everything, and the mother will discover a son who grew up too fast. On
their path they come across colorful characters: Pierre and his bull, the
alchemist of the forest of Castelnau, Jacques the handsome giant with
turquoise eyes, Lil? Louis, the angles of Camino and many others. Between
games, unforgettable encounters, tears, sulking, spiritual experiences,
quarrels and laughter, Santiago marvels at life and re-enchants the vast
world.
